Styrofoam Castle

I am Stupid:
So while perfecting my awesome quesadilla skills, i decided to grill a piece of chicken on my roommate's George Foreman (which is probably the tackiest cooking tool you can find in a kitchen).

I am REALLY Stupid:
Anyway so my George Foreman spider sense started to tingle which meant my chicken was about done grilling, so i grabbed my fork and steak knife (holding the pointy side down like my mom told me to) and made my way to my sizzling masterpiece. So here was the plan: I was going to lift the cover (shown in the left image) and make an incision to see if it had cooked all the way through. As i lifted the cover, a bit of steam began to rise and burn my hand. Freeze frame: So in this hand that is currently being cooked from the steam, i have my plastic fork and steak knife. Resume: so instinctively i jolt my hand back away from the evil grill towards my rib cage, knife in hand. So needless to say i poked my torso with a very pointy steak knife and in general almost Harikiri-ed myself while making a quesadilla. End story.

College Cookbook Journal Time:

So aside from that episode i've been cooking fairly awesome jack cheese, onion, and fucking grilled chicken quesadillas. Not very hard, but all the more reason to perfect the art. I also made tuna burgers again for my roommate and I. I've got some pictures, but trust me (like all hawaii food) it tastes WAY better than it looks.

[my over enthusiastic roommate]

The G4 Intern:
My internship at this small branding boutique has been going very well so far. I've been getting a lot of great oppertunities to work and collaborate on real projects and my design skills have been progressing steadily. I've recently been working on a layout for this client who wants a redesign for his dj website which is a great oppertunity to have full reign over the complete design. When the site is launched i'll post a link, but it probably wont be for awhile.

Closing:
I'm still battling with stress and fatigue (due to lack of sleep), and i've been freaking out because my weight is increasing :[ So in response i'm cutting back on food and excersisising as much as i can.

I'm sort of not that involved/interested in my classes: it is wierd because i'm going to school to be at the work place that i'm at now so my priorities are a bit skewed. I have become really interested in my drawing class. My sketches arn't anything magnificent but its nice to find something new you can do. Maybe i'll post some scans later in the semester.

ugh its 4:30 and i better get to sleep.
cheers!

Eclipse

Enveloping Ether:
I severely underestimated the amount of time it'd take me to do all of y chores. Its now 430am and i need to wake up for a full day tomorrow. argh. i've really been hurting from this lack of sleep. bang.

Just Leave it in the Suitcase.

Breaching for air:
(sigh)
i've been fighting these fatigue headaches and this stupid eye infection for way too long. I'm sure they sort of go hand in hand eh? This week was surprisingly quite busy. I woke up yesterday looking in the mirror and i had like a couple mistery cuts ON MY COLLAR BONE! i mean, everyone gets them on the arm or hand or foot, but collar bone? what the hell! so that was a bit startling.

Still Life:
They toor down a building this week. Funny how i wasjust working there last semester. hmph, i guess it was a good idea to take all those pictures during work.
<My favorite movie quote of 2008>

Currently my school has begun building a new dormitory TRINITY FUCKING HALL which is causing an unreasonable amount of traffic problems. It almost feels like UH the way parking has been at night. Crazy insane.

Subliminal Messaging:
Watched TV today for the longest amount of time within the past few months. House was actually quite interesting (the main character was rather captivating). Also saw an episode of Burn Notice which was fairly mediocre.
Work has been pretty intense lately. I've done things on photoshop i never knew i could do. i was very astonished with this last job. Its hard to imagine doing this everyday of every week.

College Cookbook: [i need a cutting board that doesn't turn into a rainbow when it gets wet]
Spam, onion, and two-cheese omlette: For the life of me i cannot flip a freaking omlette!!! ARGH, i hate it.
Japanese Soba: simple. hard to screw up. good to go!
Cold Ginger Chicken: "two tsp of sugar? hmmm, ok." It was pretty fucken gross. Way too sweet, not good with defrosted chicken, mediocre recipe. Never doing this again.
Tofu Fish Patties [made tonight]: This was by far the tastiest thign to come out of that maui cookbook yet. Made with tofu and tuna it came out suprisingly great. A reminder to add more green onion and watch it when frying in the oil. I'll definitly create this again.

Closed Captioning:
This post turned out quite long, and i've got things to do before work tomorrow. I need a full nights rest. I think posting demotivational posters is something really geeky and lame but i thought this one was pretty damn funny (i'm laughing while uploading this).

Upgrade:
So it was my first night at a bar [with alcohol, with friends]. it was fine, a little cheeky on drinking fromt he pitcher and getting in, but the night was fine. I suck at darts, and pool whores are lame. learned to play 301 which was cherry. being at a bar was intoxicating [yeah, i just did that] but its still the company that makes it.

College Cookbook:
Didn't cook at all today, but i did finish a literal [k-1] mountain of dishes (which was always fun). My friend Eric made a sic breakfast sandwhich after our time at the bar. I believe it was mayo, egg easy over, cheddar cheese and bacon on an english muffin. It was delicious and probably very unhealthy. Perfect for 2am alcohol fueled hunger.

Closing:
I was a little bummed the night ended at 2. Kinda wanting to be with more company, but i know what i need to do to get that. This summer was alcoholic but i worry its bleeding into this coming semester. college is toxic. Cheers!

Extra String

College Cookbook:
I attempted a revised version of Hamburger Curry [original recipe from the 49th edition of the Maui Cookbook]. It was strange, usually when i cook something i start to get hungry while cooking it, but this time i lost my appetite while cooking. Perhaps thats not a good sign. My roommate didn't even want to try it :{

After some added garlic salt and pepper it did come out pretty tasty! Would've been better with chicken rather than hamburger. the meat just made it taste... like a hamburger helper or something. meh, oh well at least it was digestible.

Goal Setting:
Argh, i'm getting very irresponsible with my punctuality. I really need to work on that! I've also got to keep up with my gym attendance. :[

Closing:
I'm not sure how good i'll be at keeping up this blog. This site was really just a random thing. heh.
